Part 2 of my new photos: 100% me-made!

First up, the Orla Blouse from Tilly and the Buttons. My hair covers the collar detail in most of the photos, but it’s like a Peter Pan-scallop combo. I am so excited about how well it fits me (with a few of my usual alterations). Part of that credit is due to this gorgeous Cotton and Steel rayon fabric I got at The Workroom in Toronto. I have since purchased Cotton and Steel rayon in a different pattern (pink with red diamonds) for another Orla.

On the bottom I’ve got Sewaholic’s Crescent Skirt. I was looking for a skirt pattern with a waist yoke instead of a waistband – the top of the skirt hits the narrowest spot or just below vs. an extra inch or two above that for a straight-cut waistband. I have a short torso so I’ve decided it’s best not to use up allll of it with skirt. It’s a new thing I’m trying. This skirt has been a total workhorse this summer. It’s made from some sort of cotton chambray, which means it is basically my summer version of jeans.

And another shout out to my photographer Amber Krawiec! Edmonton-area peeps should check her out!
